Swansea Labour Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to www.swansealabour.org, which is run by Swansea Labour and built on the Squarespace platform.

Our commitment

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings, zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen, navigate most of the website using just a keyboard, and use most of the website with a screen reader. We also aim to keep the text on the site as plain and easy to understand as we can.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not yet fully accessible. Some older images, particularly photographs of councillors and events, do not yet have text descriptions. Older leaflets and election addresses are published as PDF files that may not work well with screen readers. Some content embedded from third parties, such as social media posts and videos, may not meet accessibility standards.

What we are doing to improve

We review the site regularly and fix accessibility problems as we find them. We are working through older pages to add image descriptions, and we aim to make sure all new content meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
